CLIENT: RESTOMOD AIR
Restomod Air is a sister company with Classic Auto Air, the main deference is the demographic. In contrast to Classic Auto Air Restomod is night; the brand is based around a life style rather than just the product, because similar to its sister company they, too, sell air conditioning units but these are for the custom builders, the innovators, the guys chipping away at their version of a dream car, they hold back on nothing so for that express motive Restomod has a full line of highly customizable units and vents. These products are all hand finished, therefor the craftsmanship and dedications to the trade is reflected in every one of the units and vents that are shipped. Restomod also had a line of units that are custom but don’t require custom installations this series is called Trumod. The company isn’t limiting its reach by doing so because it can encompass several lifestyles that car lovers may be in, the company has contributed with HotRod Magazine, Overhaulin’ (the TV show) and even Lowrider Magazine. In order to design for a company with such expanse, I had to get to know Mike, the CEO, and work closely with the man himself in order to know the man behind the idea and be able to make his ideas tangible
There were several magazine ads edited that where left behind in rough stages by the previous designer that needed some polishing in order to be ready so I would rather not include those in the gallery. The images shown above are from web banners and heroes for the website each one for a specific occasion so each one had to have a very specific “feel” as Mike would say.
In addition to working on magazine ads, the website and the instructions for Restomod Air, Promotional gear and accessories where created such as: t-shits (designs above), hats, coasters, Sheet metal signs, stickers and even help with designing the booth for SEMA along with stands for the products and the decals for a personal golf cart. Needless to say working with Restomod Air was a pleasure and an adventure!
